Arsenal vs Sunderland - say it as it is...

"Well that was..easy.." -myself
If this was a match set to un-nerve Arsenal and to boost up confidence, the mark has sure been hit. But if it was to see how well Arsenal can push themselves to the limit with the opportunity that has been given to them, this was pretty well below par. A few talking points will explain what I personally feel...

Talking Point 1: Arsenal magic is world-class!
It was so nice..ok..nice is not enough to express the adjective. Try again..
GLORIOUS, SPLENDOROUS, MAJESTIC, MARVELOUS, BREATHTAKING..ya. It was (insert all the above) to watch Arsenal work their magic. This was shown by the Rosicky golazo. I believe only Arsenal can work out such a sublime move time and again. The last time this happened, a wondrous Wilshere slotted in perfectly. Enough of the Bayern or big-games-not-turning-up crap, the reason why Arsenal is such a great team to watch is because of goals like that.

Talking Point 2: Giroud not finished
Scoring two goals definitely mean something. After being 'dead' in the past few games, heck..past few months, I am finally seeing some brilliance in Giroud's game. Perhaps the bench-time really served him well. I must definitely praise him in that super super touch that led to the Rosicky goal. It was so amazing to watch that. Might I add that it was he who had assisted Wilshere in that super super goal as well back in 2013. Yeah Giroud had a lucky goal in that second one but a goal is a goal. And goals win you matches. Theres definitely more work to be done, though. We can still see that bad ball by Giroud from time to time. Anything beyond the first-touch of Giroud will always lead to a mis-pass or a lucky ball back to his teammate. And that is frustrating. Hopefully he improves and continues this rejuvenated run!

Talking Point 3: I...

Ok I'm tired.. that's all for today. Bottomline is, Arsenal won, Arsenal should have scored 7 or 8, Giroud great game, Rosicky SUPER game, Sunderland was stupid and Sagna should be given his contract extension. Bye.

Arsenal vs Bayern - as it happened..

The final score reads 0-2. And there's definitely a few talking points from my perspective of the game. But overall, it was definitely tiring and exhausting to watch a game like that, being dominated and all, but I guess this is modern football.

Talking Point 1: Red Card was unnecessary
I mean honestly, who came up with that stupid last man foul rule? The challenge was definitely a bad one, but it did not deserve a red, not in a match of this spectacle. It just spoils the whole 'mood'. Of course, would the result be the same even if Arsenal were to have 11 men? Many would agree, but we would never know what would happen if Arsenal had that extra man.

Talking Point 2: Ozil is gunner, Ozil is a lazy gunner
This has been a disappointing game for Ozil, again. He certainly did not live up to his 40mil pound class. Many would blame the penalty but again, has Ozil been lazy all this while? Before Bayern, you could already see pieces of Ozil still in the locker room, he was never really unleashed. Yes, he tried to sprint with the ball one or two time in today's match. Let's admit it, he is not a sprinter. He's definitely a CAM. So, when you are playing a counter-attacking football, get him out. You need more legs rather than calculated precision. I'm actually lost for words when it comes to commenting about Ozil, there is just so much things to say about him, some nice things, and some not really nice things. All in all, pick yourself up, Ozil. Nobody's gunner help you.

Talking Point 3: Parking Bus was unnecessary
It's just so frustrating to see a game-controlling Arsenal, getting dominated by Bayern. Why should Arsenal just sit back and defend, when they know they are able to dominate the game in return? Do they have the quality? YES! If Arsenal is going to succumb to pressure and give up ball possession just because of a few pressure being exerted by the opponent, Arsenal's gunner have a bad time. It would then, be easy to counter the whole Arsenal style. They have always been playing a cool, collected game, slowly probing and probing. This has been useful against stupid teams like Coventry or Fulham or Cardiff, but certainly not against top tier teams. When Arsenal know's they can't control the ball as well as they do against stupid teams, they are dead. Heck, Arsenal can't even score goals by playing the usual style, it's just probing and probing and never-ending probing, to no avail. How can you expect to score goals when you are being forced to not play your usual style then? Back to Bayern, don't just succumb and absorb the pressure, LAY IT OUT. You have good players to do so. Which is why players like Wilshere, Flamini and Ox are such assets, they DARE to do 'it'. Question is, does the Arsenal Tactical Board dare? Does Wenger dare?

A few positives though, it would be a good comeback and definitely a drama if Arsenal could layeth the smackethdown on Bayern in the return leg. Time to shove that smug face of Robben up Pep's smug ass. And Ox man of the match. Bosscielny not far behind.
