Arsenal vs City - mixed emotions

There was happiness over that Flamini goal, there was sadness over the draw. Don't get me wrong, a draw is definitely a better result than a loss. But c'mon guys, why must we be contented with a draw when Arsenal could have won that match. In my opinion, fans shouldn't be satisfied with just the draw, but aim higher. City clearly wasn't on their best and Arsenal, in occasions, could have capitalized. Hence, I do not agree with all the twitter fanbases saying that a draw is a reasonable result. Nay!

Talking Point 1: Improving Giroud
Again, we start off about Giroud. He is defnitely having a better game today. There were good touches, good dribbles, good passes in truth. And he won more aerial challenges today with his back facing the goal. He did not fade off into nothingness like he often does in big matches, though, he is still a little slow going forward but credits definitely given for showing tenacity against a team like City. Hope to see him ram in the goals soon against those mid-tier teams.

Talking Point 2: Golden Rosicky
SUPER ROSICKY. Man of the match! Invaluable.

Talking Point 3: Time up for Arteta?
He is playing too defensively and carefully. When he gets the ball, 80% says that he will backpass. 19% says he will play a horizontal pass across. When will he pass forward and take risks? Calculated risks, mind you. Sometimes, when you wish for just that little bit of  urgency, Arteta cools everything off with his old-fashioned mindset. Maybe I'm just too fed up over the result today and I had to take it on Arteta. Ok fine. On a lighter note, he DID carry out his role as a holding midfield, so good for him that he helped to retain possession. But just that lack of creativeness and constant errors signalling a time to move on.

Talking Point 4: The ball is round
It means anything could happen. Don't write Arsenal off the title challenge just yet. A loss here today would destroy the dream but a win would put Arsenal right back into the challenge. A draw though.. now you see why I felt such mix emotions? Damn. But I still believe.

Talking Point 5: Toure is a beast
He is definitely putting himself in the book of legends. He is one opposing player that I really commend, and scared of whenever he faces Arsenal. What a player. What a pillar. What a talent. Of course, he's no Messi or Iniesta, Ronaldo etc.. But what a player.

Keep the faith, gooners.
